Ming Yue Lay can be described as the Temple of the Immortals, or Temple of the

Taoist Patriarchs.

Taoism teaches about the various disciplines for achieving perfection through

self-cultivation.

In Ancient China it is common for people to deify men and women

who have excelled in life and those who have made great contributions to society,

similar to those attaining Sainthood in Catholicism.

The following are those venerated to Deity and commonly worshipped

by Chinese people:

Taoist Patriarch Lord Lao

Taoist Grand Masters Song Chan & Liu Chun Fang

Venerable Master Song Da Feng

Venerable Master Li Dao Ming

Patriarchs Yang Jun Song & Bai Yun

Zen Patriarch Grand Master Wu Meng Wu
